  2. By being faithful to church services. (Heb. 10:25).
  3. By cooperating with church leadership. (Heb. 13:7, 17).
  4. By supporting the church with tithes and offerings. (Mal. 3:8-10).
  5. By sharing Jesus with others. (1 Pet. 3:15; Mk. 5:19; Rev. 12:11).

We Believe...

In the Trinity of the eternal Godhead: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. (Jn. 14:26). In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Jn. 1:1). In the person and deity of the Holy Spirit. (Jn. 16:8). In the inspired and inerrant Word of God, The Bible. (2 Tim. 3:16). In salvation by grace through faith and not of works. (Eph. 2:8). In the propitiation for sin only by the Blood of Jesus Christ. (1 Jn. 2:2). In the substitutionary atonement for all mankind. (2 Cor. 5:15). In the total sinfulness of mankind. (Rom. 3:23). In the reality and person of the devil. (1 Pet. 5:8). In the necessity of being Born Again. (Jn. 3:5-8). In water baptism by immersion. (Rom.6:4; Col. 2:12). In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. (Acts 2:4). In Divine Healing. (1 Pet. 2:24). In the imminent return of Jesus Christ. (Mat. 24:36-46).

How Can I Be 'Saved'?

In Acts 16, the Philippian jailor asks Paul and Silas a very important question: "What must I do to be saved?" According to Jesus' response to Nicodemus in John 3, becoming 'saved' means to become 'born-again' in the Spirit. Unless men and women are reborn in the Spirit, they cannot see the Kingdom of God, or Heaven. (Jn. 3:3).

A person who is 'saved' is: free from sin, which is disobedience towards God and His commandments; and free from sin's repercussions, which are God's wrath (Rom. 1:18), and ultimately, death (Rom. 6:23). God hates and punishes sin. God does not dwell where there is sin. (Ps. 5:4). When we become saved, we are saved from sin and God's righteous judgement that follows. If we seek Heaven, we seek to be saved from sin.

We must first recognize that we are sinners. (Rom. 3:23). And learn that our sins will lead us to hell (after physical death) and eternal separation from God, if we do not choose to abandon it. (1 Th. 1:8, 9). However, only choosing to put off sin is not enough to appease God's wrath. There must be a payment for all the crimes we have committed against God. Since we are creatures made by God, we are subject to His laws, and thus, His penalties. Through committing acts of sin, we commit acts of crime against our own Creator, and have become His enemies. (Jm. 4:4).

The good news of the Gospel is that: God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to intercede and pay the price for our reconciliation with God. So that we will have eternal life. (Jn. 3:16). So that we will be able to become His friends. Everything has a price, even our sin. And Jesus Christ paid it.

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
— 1 John 2:2

In Judaism, atonement for sin was acquired through animal sacrifices to God. (Ex. 29:36; Lev. 4:31; 9:7; 14:19; 15:15; Num. 15:25). According to Jewish law, the blood shed from these sacrifices would 'wash' people from sin in the eyes of God. (Lev. 16:19; Heb. 9:22). These traditions were set by God Himself as laws for His chosen people to observe.

When Jesus Christ came from Heaven to Earth, He reconciled us with God by dying and shedding His blood on the cross, and resurrecting from death after three days. By all accounts, He lived a perfect and blameless life-- He had no sin. He became the perfect sacrifice, the Lamb of God (Jn. 1:29), that satisfied the Jewish standard for atonement. (Rom. 3:25). Jesus Christ paid God's price for atonement of the Jews, and all those who choose to believe in Him and His sacrifice. (Rom. 3:22, 26; Titus 2:11).

According to 1 John 1:9 & Romans 10:9, in order to become saved, we must simply:

  1. Confess before God, with our mouth, our sinfulness
    • We acknowledge that we have wronged God. We ask for His forgiveness.
  2. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord, and
    • Accept Him as the Messiah sent by God by placing our faith in Him,
    • Because it is through Him and His sacrifice that men are forgiven by God and become God's friend.
  3. Believe in Jesus Christ's death on the cross and resurrection.
    • Without which is defeat and failure to appease God's wrath against all mankind.

Becoming saved is a conscious and voluntary action, and remaining saved is an everyday effort to work out our salvation. (Phil. 2:2). Christianity is a relationship with God and lifestyle, not a Sunday morning religion.
